a close up of a piece of fabric on a table
545K views · 42K reactions | Come fussy cut with me! 🍄🍄🍄 Take any cute fabric that has an image you like and cut it into a square. I like to use a 2 1/2” clear acrylic template so I can center the design I’m cutting. Here are some other helpful hints: - I like to use insulbright as my base and cut to about 8” square. This works great for hot pads, coasters or pot holders. - cut scrappy coordinating fabric strips at 1 1/2”. - build around your fussy cut center. Adding 2 rows makes it super colorful and oh so scrappy! 🙌🏻 - I like to use a pressing tool. It’s that white tool in the video. It works so well to press seams at the machine without heat. - I also love to use “that purple thang” tool to help push along the fabric at the corners where it’s a little bulky. - both tools and template are in my Amazon storefront, click on the linktree under my bio area and search the different fave tools I use for sewing. - lastly, have FUN!!! What fun project is on your work table?? . #simplyeilene #fussycutting #mushroomart #quiltasyougo #cottonfabric #hotpad #coaster #sewingtutorial #beginnersewing #sewingproject | Eilene Johnson | COZY CLOU:D · Sweet Day
