“Predominately I use two contrasting clays - Porcelain and Crank stoneware. With this series focussing on simple forms of cylinders, bowls and eggs shapes. With the cylinders I explore how they can be manipulated in an organic way by pushing them to create bends and folds, evoking folds of fabric, while still retaining a functional purpose. The central etched lines highlight the curves of the form. The porcelain is refined to a smooth sanded tactile finish, while with the crank I show the…
