A portfolio of smaller paintings, from 8" x 10" up to 16" x 20," often painted as studies to assess whether a scene would make an exciting and successful larger, studio painting. I strive to give these small paintings, often based on photographs, the freshness and liveliness of plein air work.
Biography: STEPHANIE BIRDSALL received her formal training at the City and Guilds of London Art School in England. After graduation she spent time traveling through Europe honing her skills as a plein air painter. Upon her return to the United States, Stephanie continued her study under several top artists including: Doug Dawson, Albert Handel, Ramon Kelly, and Frank Federico.
