Drayton Hall, Charleston SC plantation - very interesting place to get some history of the South. Also, tour guide was amazing and kept even my five year old son interested and engaged throughout the whole tour!

An embroidered lawn robe l'Anglaise, circa delicately embroidered in chain stitch with stripes and sprigs of pinks, convolvulus, dog roses, honeysuckle. Chain work is probably tambour stitch which was becoming popular at this time.
