What better way to recycle than to use a bunch of tin cans as your planters? Anything that can be reused is A-OKAY in my book! We did some Gabion walls in our garden and thought it would look nice if we could have our house clad in Gabion. We started with the garage entrance and front wall of the house. We bought some reject wire mesh (used to hold electrical cable) and using a bolt cutter, we cut it to size. The mesh normally comes in 3 meter lengths and can be shaped once cut. Hi everyone. Today I want to share how I made these concrete planters. I promise they are a lot easier to make than they look. The instructions for this DIY are pretty straight forward. I used a Styrofoam head as my base and applied a layer of concrete on top. The trick to getting this DIY done with fine detail is all in the concrete mix. I used a concrete called shapcrete and I gotta say this stuff is amazing. It melts like butter under your finger tips.
