A tip for all of you Shabby Chic-ers out there! Before painting your project, rub a candle in a few places, especially highly detailed places, where you would like the wood to peep through. Apply paint & allow to dry. Once dry, you will be able to rub the paint straight off where the candle wax is! Voila, a distressed, aged look without any effort!
