What they’re wearing in Paris: April 2022! When we first arrived in Paris, it was still pretty cold and everyone was bundled up in their puffers and heavy wool coats. Recently, the weather turned quite pleasant, so I was able to get out and observe what they’re wearing in Paris this spring. Parisians love their sneakers, in a multitude of styles. Classic white styles are still popular, both sleek and chunky. I also spotted a notable number of styles with some metallic or sparkly details.
Ever since Pantone announced Very Peri as the Color of the Year for 2022, many of my readers have expressed enthusiasm for adding it to their wardrobe. I am starting to see versions of this color bubble up as spring collections come in. Most of what I’m seeing that’s close to Very Peri is a softer, less saturated version of it, in a range of shades between lavender and blue.

The rain let up for our last morning in Paris, so we took a quick stroll along the Seine before it was time to catch our train to London. I didn’t do as much shopping in Paris as I’d hoped, but this scarf from Comptoir des Cotonniers was my first and probably best purchase. It’s very soft and light, and I’ve worn it several times already. I really wish CdC was available online in the US. They always have some great, wearable pieces in gorgeous colors.
