Saving Private Ryan -- I have to admit that I cried after watching in horror the first thirty minutes of the film and realizing that we humans can do terrible things to each other.  But minutes later, I secretly cheered when Ted Danson's platoon ended the shouting match at the surprise meeting of Hanks' team and the Germans.  What kind of human does that make me? This is what good movies do; make us reflect on our own nature.
