I have been literally thinking a bit "outside the box" this weekend as I design and make a full enclosure for my 3D printer. Wood rods that mate into custom designed and printed bulkheads make up the perimeters and acrylic panels close off all sides to keep the heat and noise inside. A few fans will be added in strategic places if I need them along with a hinged access door secured by hidden magnets. LED light mounts will also be added in to give the whole presentation a cool "glow" for…

This experiment of Project RE_, by designer Samuel Bernier, explores 3D-printing as a DIY tool for upcycling. Customised lids are created using low cost 3D-printing.
