Character card - Rachel Barrie (The Whisky Game board game)
Dr Jim Swan gave Rachel a job almost 30 years ago. Most of the time she spent in Glenmorangie, Ardbeg and Bowmore and moved to BenRiach, Glenglassaugh and Glendronach in 2017. Rachel has become the first female master blender to be given an honorary doctorate by the University of Edinburgh and first woman in Scotch whisky inducted to 'The Whisky Hall of Fame.

Dr. Nick Savage is the master distiller with youthful, positive and energetic approach. He stands behind the Macallan's recent successes and he was also responsible for keeping the same quality of new make in the new distillery opened in 2018. In 2019 took a new challenge in single malt Lowland Scotch whisky in re-opened 200 year old Bladnoch distillery.

John has been in the whisky business since 1974 and worked with different brands till the late 80s when he joined Tullamore D.E. W. John, being Global Brand Ambassador now, is considered as one of the most influential people in the irish whiskey industry. He is always ready with an irish toast.

Stephanie is now responsible for the Dewar's range of blended whiskies and numerous single malts that are part of the Bacar- di company (eg. Aberfeldy, Craigellachie, Royal Brackla and others). 'Ihrough years of experience, she has built a strong name for herself, winning numerous awards and setting a great example for other successful women in the whisky industry.
Character card - Richard Paterson (The Whisky Game board game)
Being 50 years in the whisky business, Richard Paterson, nicknamed "the nose, has come to be one of the most revered Scotch whisky industry professionals. He is well known for not only his incredible sensitive nose, but also for his legendary "how to drink whisky like a sir". His name is firmly connected with Dalmore distillery, however Richard joined Wolfcraig distillery in 2020.

Having spent more than 23 years in the industry, Gordon was appointed Master Whisky Maker in 2008. In recent years, he has focused his attention on Highland Park having worked across a number of whisky brands. When Gordon is not carefully watching over the Highland Park core range or single malts, he is busy experimenting, developing and crafting new whiskies for Highland Park.

Jim is one of the biggest characters in the world of whisky. There are not many people who can say they have worked in every job in whisky. Jim can. He has spent more than 50 years in the whisky industry and is well known as the legendary master blender of Bruichladdich distillery, being now the face of Ardnahoe.

John is best known for his time at Laphroaig Distillery, where he spent an incredible 27 years, the last 16 as Distillery Manager responsible for whisky production. In 2021 he took up a new challenge at an independent distillery company Lochlea, situated in the Lowlands.

David Stewart is the long-time master blender and malt master for William Grant & Sons distillers. David's pioneering spirit and dedication to his craft, coupled with his modest, unassuming manner has made him one of the best-loved and respected craftmen in the whisky business.

Billy is one of the most recognisable characters and respected Master Blenders within the Scotch whisky industry. During his almost 50 year career, he has been responsible for Glen Dronach, BenRiach and Glenglassaugh distilleries. After selling The BenRiach Distillery company in 2016 Billy assembled a team to start a new journey with GlenAllachie.

With almost a decade of experience as master blender, his name became the synonym for Jameson whiskey. Billy started as a trainee accountant and throughout the years he has been gaining experiences on many roles in the distillery. Beside tasting samples Billy is responsible for managing stock and forecast the future demands.

Having spent over 40 years honing his craft, Master Distiller Alan Winchester is steeped in whisky tradition. As master distiller, his job is to ensure the legacy that George Smith began all those years ago continues. The extraordinary 50 year old bottle is named The Glenlivet Winchester Collection.
