Socialist Realist astronomical clock on the Olomouc City Hall. In contrast to the astronomical clock in Prague, this one was built in 1947–1955 by Karel Svolinský to replace the 15th century astronomical clock destroyed at the end of WWII.

Top of the UNESCO listed Holy Trinity Column in Olomouc. At the top you can see a small gold ball on the left hand side - this represents when the Prussians fired cannon balls at the monument during the siege of Olomouc in 1758. Taken by Talmadge O'Neill
