"The marabou stands 150cm high, and is one of the world’s largest flying birds. It has a massive bill and a naked head and neck, from which a pendulous inflatable air sac hangs like a great sausage. The marabou’s grotesque appearance and its scavenging habits are not everybody’s cup of tea. Nonetheless, it cuts a magnificent profile in flight, with its head retracted beneath a three-metre wingspan." www.bradtguides.com Exotic Birds, Colorful Birds, Baby Animals, Cute Animals, Bird Migration, Flying Birds, Vulture, Big Bird, Stork

Black Stork

The Black Stork (Ciconia nigra) is a large wading bird in the stork family Ciconiidae. It is a widespread, but rare, species that breeds in the warmer parts of Europe, predominantly in central and eastern regions. This is a shy and wary species, unlike the closely related White Stork. It is seen in pairs or small flocks—in marshy areas, rivers or inland waters. The Black Stork feeds on amphibians and insects. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Stork
