The Artist

"The Artist" - I don't know that I would have awarded it Best Picture, but it is a great movie that is both artistically impressive and highly entertaining, despite (or perhaps because of) the near total lack of spoken dialogue.

Perhaps too slow for some, it is an incredibly moving work that ultimately says that our universe is filled with moments of both happiness and sorrow, but that whichever one you're experiencing, it is still miraculous.
