I definitely struggle with contorting to what others want to avoid feeling unloved or as though people will abandon me if I mess up or get too emotional (I'm working on getting better control of my emotions, via medication, therapy, and positive self talk, but I will likely always be a little emotional and sometimes talk to loud when excited about something..) I want to begin to let go completely of my unconscious self-sabotaging protection habits. Because it doesn't protect, it hurts.
