The Common Starling - Sturnus vulgaris, is a medium-sized passerine bird. Its native range is in temperate Europe and Asia. First introduced in New York's central Park in their offspring have multiplied to 200 million plus.
Starling - We had a pair of Starlings visiting our feeders. I was told they could be "bully" birds at feeders but we haven't had a problem with them driving away smaller birds so far. They are fun to watch.
Kakapo: super cool ground parrot, lives off the coast of New Zealand. Smells like honey, woofs like a dog, and "chings" like a cash register. Weighs about 8 pounds. Critically endangered - about 150 left!
