Kids Artists: The longest line - start in one corner and draw one continuous line. It may be straight, curved, zig-zag, but line must not hit or cross itself. Line must end back where it started. Draw 3 or 4 geometric shapes. Choose three colors per shape to color in shapes.

Sub plans. Could use at any grade level, with a particular color group, such as warm/cool colors. "The longest line - draw continuous line to fill entire paper, add shapes and color inside them"

Grade 1 but could be for younger tots sans bridge. Use: oil pastels for bridge, water colors in the background, sprinkle salt on wet paint, wait till dry and shake salt off

: Grade Monet Bridge We did use salt. Oil pastel down first, watercolor to fill up the background. Sprinkle salt on top! Rub salt away once the paint has dried and enjoy :-)

7th Grade. Topography. Cut an organic shape of construction paper. Re-trace it on another piece and copy the line only a little smaller. Continue until the pieces become small. Once all the pieces are cut out, glue together, add a small piece of styrofoam in between to get the height to really show. Try to place the styrofoam above one another to make it easier to press down once it has been built up.

great idea - maps and colour Topography. Cut an organic shape of construction paper. Re-trace it on another piece and copy the line only a little smaller. Glue together, add a small piece of styrofoam in between to get the height to really show.
