Community Helpers- carpenters-- need/provide: (pretend & small real) hammers, golf tees, safety (science) goggles & polystyrene - the polystyrene is covered with cardboard to lessen the mess (styrofoam).

This simple to make activity is perfect for little builders and fix-its!  Using tools is so full of learning and wonderful for toddlers and preschoolers development!

Fine motor: Hammering: golf tees, hammer, and florist foam (I've found that florist foam works better than regular Styrofoam because it holds out longer and the foam doesn't chip off and fall everywhere).
