Closeup of open spine bookbinding - Heidelberg Journal by Ruth Bleakley - sewed the book with sturdy white Irish waxed linen thread, over washi-paper tapes. A thin blue strand is woven over the tapes for a decorative touch, and to go with the blue endpages (not pictured...they're like a fancy surprise).
