Back detail on silk and lace neglige, Looks like my grandmothers wedding dress from with the exception of the back.

Dinner gown, Redfern, London,  circa 1909. Black silk velvet trimmed with chemical lace in the Van Dyck  manner. Long self-fabric flounces run the length of the skirt. Slight  train. Victoria & Albert Museum: “The higher neckline and longer  ruched sleeves distinguish this from sleeveless low-cut ball gowns. The  intentionally historical appearance of the gown suggests it may have  been made for fancy dress.
