Learn To Crochet
Emily Ocker's Circular Cast-On is often used for knitting which knits from the center out like Pi-shawl. It is also called Pinhole Cast On because where you start the project becomes almost invisible and only leaves a tiny pinhole! I LOVE using this circular cast-on technique. You will need a crochet hook but don't be intimidated. Even though you haven't learned how to crochet, I promise you, it is pretty easy!
Interchangeable Knitting Needles
Magic Loop
Magic Loop Method is my favorite method to knit in the round. Instead of using multiple double-pointed needles, this method only requires a pair of circular needles. It is explained for beginners from cast on in the continental style. A free video tutorial is available so it is easier to learn.
