I made this battery charger/tool shelf for our shop at work, I have a terminal strip mounted behind the charger shelf plugged in to a timer that will run long enough to keep a charge on the batteries. I used 4" pvc for the drill holder and 6" for the sawzall holder, the 6, pieces of pipe above the saw are 1-1/2 pvc and I use those for blade storage

Wall tool holders
To hold a lot of pliers, it's easiest to just hook them onto the edge of a piece of wood. A lot of pliers go in a small amount of space that way. The piece of wood in this holder is tapered towards the top edge, so that it doesn't force the handles too far apart. It's really only about half full with pliers so far.
