Sea Voyage. As a high school student, before every moment of our lives was saved to our computers, I wrote a story about a fishing boat during a storm. It was GOOD. But I was not there the day my teacher returned them. When I came back the next day I asked for it, and she said she threw it away. SHE THREW IT AWAY! She has never been a writer, imagining, finding just the right words to convey feeling, rewriting again and again. I want that story back.
