Now a crumbling ruin of its former glory, Dunseverick Castle in County Antrim was once host to St Patrick and the seat of Fergus Mor MacErc (Fergus the Great) – brother of one of Ireland’s High Kings, Murtagh MacErc. Much of this weathered stronghold surrendered to the sea over the years, but its sense of mysticism remains to this day.
