Gherardo Starnina (Florence,1354-1413) ~ Archangel Gabriel ~ tempera on panel ~1404-1407 ~ This painting together with the other one entitled The Virgin Annunciate were parts of the Saint Laurence Altarpiece commissioned by cardinal Agnolo Acciaioli between 1404-1407 intended for St. Mary’s chapel of the Florentine Certosa del Galluzzo.
