Russian honey cake, Medovnik. Do not be fooled by the beautiful photography of this website; this recipe was a disaster. From unclear directions about double-boiling to using TWO STICKS of butter for the cream, I ended up conjoining this recipe with elements of the better Natasha's Kitchen recipe (which unfortunately used other ingredients). The result still came out delicious and picturesque, but I would not recommend this recipe. Use Natasha's Kitchen recipe, for SURE.
