This charming native New Zealander is a fine example of dolls made by Lands in Wellington, c. 1930. Other examples may be seen in the New Zealand National Museum, Te Papa Tongarewa. Made of plaster, she wears flax skirt with a fringed, woven shawl. Her undergarment is short & red. Of course, she wears her woven headband and hei tiki.
