Plumlov is the site of a castle which was personally designed by Prince Karl Eusebius of Liechtenstein, an avid devotee to the art of building. Known then as Plumenau Castle, it was intended as a jewel of Baroque architecture. The castle was confiscated from its owners in 1931. It is now in the possession of the local government in Plumlov.
