The highlight of my week was doing a formal lesson on The Power of Yet! Hearing my kids now add the word 'yet' to the end of so many of their sentences has me feeling so happy. These first few weeks in first grade have been really challenging for so many of them, but their eyes have been opened to a new way of thinking. I'm so excited for my students to approach challenges with a different mindset. The best is yet to come. Happy Friday! Sarah #growthmindetbelivers #thepowerofyet
One of my favorite books of all time is 'The 7 Habits of highly effective people' by Stephen Covey. One of the habits of the most successful is 'Sharpen the Saw'. They are always trying to get better. Instead of trying to chop wood with a blunt saw it might be more efficient to take a step back and sharpen the saw. - If you feel stuck at something find a way to learn some new skills that will accelerate your progress in the long term. . . . . . #abrahamlincoln #abelincoln #lincoln #lincolnquote
