More 15th-century French garb from Tacuinum Sanitatis. Note the boat neck, relatively fitted bodice and voluminous skirts (with no girdle to create the high waistline), and loose, full-length sleeves rolled back to display the fitted sleeves of the underdress. This would is more advanced garb for people who want to learn to make fitted clothes without worrying about boning and fussy ornamentation.

This illumination is from Duc de Berry's Book of Hours, depicting the month of January. It probably shows the Twelfth Night banquet, as during the Middle Ages the focus of the Christmas festivities tended to be during the Twelve Days of Christmas, and after the Advent Fast. Recipe for a 15th century English "Goose in a Garlic and Grape Sauce" via the link.
