A table arrangement of grains, such as wheat and dried grasses, found at craft stores celebrates the bounty of fall.

This textured display includes wheat and other dried grasses (available at crafts stores), so it can be made weeks ahead. The final flourish? A luxurious satin bow.

Arrange lone stems—a mix of full plumes and reedy stalks such as caspia and agapanthus—in vessels of various heights and shapes. Keep colors consistent for maximum impact. To make a random assortment of flowers look anything but, map the vases out first. Place the tallest shapes in the center, anchor the outer edges with medium-size pieces, and fill them in with small containers. When you're done, add a stem or two to each.
