My current civil summer costume (02/2018). Bearing the flag of my Czech group, Goryničové. The flag is not Ukrainian. It is originally a symbol of Rurik lineage (more specifically, the shown symbol is an evolution of the original one, but still), originating in Sweden.
Accessories of mixed origin. Will be soon replacing with proper Swedish replicas.
New linen undertunic based on find from Viborg. Also made from leftover cloth. Square neckhole with side-slit, tied with strings. Torso is two-piece sewn at shoulder.
Wooden backpack frame with wool shoulder straps. Prefer wool over leather, as these can still carry around 15-20kg, but do not cut into skin when wet from sweating.
Two-handed winged spear of type IX.1B by Solberg (dated 950-1050), based on a find from Kvalsta, Västmanland, Sweden.
Iron ring brooch for cloak fastening, based on several finds from Birka graves.
Horn-made comb. Worn in a leather cover based on find from Birka grave Bj 1074. Plan on acquiring a proper set (bone-made comb) soon.
Belt replica of Birka grave Bj 369. So far without decorative fittings, which I plan on adding when promoted to a higher rank in my reenactment group.
Reconstruction (without decoration) of type IV Kirpičnikovov axe, based on find SHM 19009 from Skvärsta, northern Sweden. The axe head is protected by a wooden cover based on Novgorod find.
Leather wallet based on century find from Eiden, Gloppen (Norway)
