Bempton Cliffs is a nature reserve, run by the RSPB, at Bempton in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, facing the North Sea. The hard chalk cliffs at #Bempton rise are relatively resistant to erosion and offer lots of sheltered headlands and crevices for nesting birds. Staithes, North Yorkshire
A slightly unusual view of Staithes, taken from the top of Cowbar Nab, the lofty headland cliffs that tower over the north side of the village. There is a path that leads there, but it seemed a little overgrown, leaving me to think that the majority of visitors don't bother to explore this vantage point. Having said that, my legs were turning to jelly as I took this shot from a point that drops sharply to the village below!
