BALMORAL CASTLE & SANDRINGHAM HOUSE

Balmoral was privately purchased in 1852 by Prince Albert. It's in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and is the much loved summer holiday destination of the Queen and Prince Philip. Sandringham House, in Norfolk, was privately purchased in 1862 for Prince Albert Edward, later Edward VII. The Queen spends Christmas and the anniversary of her own Accession at Sandringham each year.
