Low key lighting produces dark images,a thing i love about low key is that you can have it with a twist which is fun. For example like on this image using colored gels to make it more creative and taking it to extreme. By taking low key lighting to extreme creativity you can get different moods like cozy,fun and romantic. Also to do this you need to think of the colors you will use. For example think about contrast which is increasing or decreasing to make action punchier or love scenes softer.
