One of the things that makes her art so appealing is the sketch book...um almost lacksadasical feel it has to it, the easy flowing lines and the amazing detail somehow without much at the same time....just neat! So talented...what a gift you have sweet one, keep it up!

Value Exercise: I used simple paper, black and white. First, draw scrolls with a pencil. Second, we color the scrolls with colored pencils: a darker tone for the shaded area, a lighter color for the highlight areas and a white pencil for the lightest, using different pressures to create a gradient. Then cut out the scrolls and paste on black cardboard.
