Sapins feuilletés - Nath' Chocolat
Could make a sweet pastry version of this - am thinking layer with flaky almond 'butter' pastry, poached spice/butter apple slices and then a thin sprinkle of cinnamon sugar. Add a sugared cranberry at the top and poke finished 'tree' stick into a biscuit cube (with pre-baked skewer hole). Weigh down with marzipan/strong icing and stick to serving tray (or they could be stuck in creatively covered foam bases).
