Cherry Bombe on Instagram: "We have an early contender for the foodiest film of 2024: “The Taste of Things,” out Friday, Feb. 9th. Based on Marcel Rouff’s 1920 novel, “The Passionate Epicure: La Vie et la Passion de Dodin-Bouffant, Gourmet,” the movie is set in 1885 France and follows a romance between cook Eugénie (played by French superstar @juliettebinoche) and the gourmand who’s employed (and loved) her for 20 years, Dodin (played by Benoît Magimel). Dodin’s character in both the film and book are loosely based on the French epicurean Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin. “The Taste of Things” has already gained praise abroad and a best director win for Tran Anh Hung at the Cannes Film Festival last May. #bombesquad #movies #juliettebinoche"
