Children can make sums to 10 by folding fingers down & counting.  (See Pin W/Green Hands)  Older children can use this to learn the 9-times table finger trick.  Fold down finger you're multiplying 9 by; count how many fingers to the left of that folded down finger (5) & how many to the right of that finger (4).
