South Korean designer Jeonghwa Seo has created a collection of stools and tables using 12 different materials in 15 different combinations. This image is of a stool made from basalt stone and rosewood - materials seen everyday but not often in furniture.
"stool production unit" - Latex sheet is used as mold offering an endless diversity of organic shapes.The desired shape is then solidified with water base resin. When dryed, the latex sheet is peeled off leaving a perfect smooth surface.
'elastic wood' focuses on wood furniture joinery and seeks to explore what happens when they become flexible through the combination of wood and elastic materials.
We handcrafted these eco awards for the Atlanta Airport (USA) from recovered Douglas Fir. We intentionally left the ‘live edge’ on the wood and laser engraved the logo into the wood for a natural look. We combined recovered materials with our minimalist approach to produce these unique awards.
