6.3K views · 1K reactions | Hamburger steak and gravy recipe 🔥 😎 🎥 By: @auntiescookin Recipe- Meat: 1 lbs ground beef 80/20 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs 1 large egg 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce Seasonings: 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder 1/2 tablespoon onion powder 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon salt Gravy: 1 small yellow onion 1/2 a green bell pepper 3 garlic cloves 3 tablespoons unsalted butter 1/4 cup all purpose flour 2 1/2 cups low sodium beef broth 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/8- 1/4 teaspoon browning Directions: Clean and dice the onion and bell pepper, and mince the garlic cloves. Combine the listed seasonings together and set aside. Half will be used for the meat, the other half to season the gravy. Next, to a bowl, add the ground beef. To the beef, add the breadcrumbs , egg, Worcestershire sauce, and half of the seasoning mixture. Mix the ingredients together then form into patties. Heat up a skillet, you can use little to no oil because the patties produce their own grease. Cook the patties 80% through then remove from pan. Remove most of the grease from the pan, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the pan to cook veggies. Add the bell pepper and onions into the pan and begin cooking them until they completely soften. Then add the garlic and sauté it for 30 seconds. Next, add in the butter, allow it to melt. Once melted, add in the flour. Allow flour to cook for approx. 1 minute or until a golden color. Then pour in the beef broth, stirring continuously as you pour. Once well mixed in, add in the Worcestershire sauce, browning, and the remaining half of the seasonings. Continue mixing while the gravy begins to thicken. Allow to come to a simmer, then add the patties back into the pan. Spoon the gravy over the patties. Cover, allow to simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
