theBERRY
I have sketched before with graphite pencils, especially landscapes, but this project was the first time I have worked with charcoal and still-lifes. I found the charcoal as an excellent tool for a gradient when shading, but since I was using gray paper, I found I needed white charcoal for highlights but didn't have any. I improvised by borrowing a white colored pencil from a neighbor, which I am happy to say came out with my desired effect.
