Vegvisir, the old viking compass for guidance. Surrounding runes: "not all who wander are lost." Inguz in the middle: "where there is a will there is a way." The 2 ravens Huginn and Muginn for wisdom. Yggdrasil: "the tree of life." Stands for Balance. Supported by 2 runes of time: Jerah and Dagaz, both for decision making. Meaning of this tattoo to me: every step i take toward balance is with a certain thought and memory, strengthened by Valknut and guided by Vegvisir and Inguz. by cora

Here's a section of Johannes's three quarter sleeve. The three bands you see on the forearm are inspired from left to right by the snow sledge from the Oseberg burial, horse harness panels from (valsgärde I think), and Mammen art style. All of the bands and my interpretation of the styles as opposed to direct copies though, as usual :) Johaness is Icelandic and can trace his heritage back generations all the way to Leif Erikson, with clear links to the Faroe Islands and Denmark in there too…

Here's the latest Drinking Horn I carved. This time I used my Dremel Tool only for the rough part and put much more effort into the refining.
