Fields of lavender throbbing with bees, the sound of Cicadas in the trees, the smell of a boulangérie, olive trees shining silver in the breeze, villages perchés,........in other words...la Provence France is just not Paris, nor just the French Riviera, nor Provence, or the French Alps, or Normandy, nor the many brocantes.... it is a paradise for the senses. Thank you for your wonderful responses yesterday!
St Patrick’s Well, located just outside Clonmel, near Marfield Village. This popular site features one of Ireland’s largest holy wells, which flows into a pool with an interesting early-Christian, Celtic-style cross at its center.
If I happen to have a house with a wall around the front garden some day, I would love for it to have a beautiful red-brick archway accompanied by a wooden garden door gate. Country, cottagey and kind of magical all rolled into one :)
