These reproduction Saxon noble costumes were made for re-enactlment for the King and Queen of Kent. Kent was a soveign state until absorbed within Wessex. Kent was the first kingdom to be convreeted to Christianity in southern England by St Augustine. These costumes are now in the Abbey museum
