For years, Old Plank has been purchasing antique French mailboxes, from the early 1900s -1930s. Cast iron and steel began to be used in the manufacturing process of mail boxes, beginning circa 1900 in France. Léon Mougeotte in 1899, passed a law, allowing their post office to supply steel and cast-iron boxes to companies and the general public.
