This was for my grandson's birthday. His mom (my daughter) helped a lot with this cake. I worked on Tow Mater (made of Rice Cereal Treats) and she did all the other decorations as well as placing them all on and putting down the "rocks" and "dirt".

For my son's 2nd birthday, I did a Cars themed cake. - The dirt is crushed graham crackers. - The Cozy Cone is chocolate - I melted white chocolate and colored it orange. Then I placed some in a cone and refrigerated it. I also put some orange chocolate on a plate in the fridge. When hard, I cut out a square and used icing to hold the base and cone together. - The tire tower is Cheerios colored black on a toothpick. - The cars are toys. :)

I want to have a CARS themed birthday for McKinley this year with a focus on Mater. Love this cake!! Need a mold....

We start with a 1/2 sheet cake, cut into thirds, stack, then carve. Platform is styrofoam we cover with cake foil, glue to board, then we cut a piece of foam core, covered in foil for the body to sit on. glue that to the platform. Ice in buttercream, airbrush, fondant accents, edible image door sign. Wheels are rice krispy treats covered in fondant.
