In this 2nd grade math escape room, students complete challenges to help the fisherman get back his wallet from the mermaid who found it. To complete these challenges, students work through four math problem sets where they practice solving word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately.
This engaging, interactive slide deck features a grouping of twenty single-step word problems that use all four operations, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction. Designed with the football fan in mind, students will have fun solving problems and seeing if their answers score a touchdown. As students solve problems, they will progress through the slides.
