I had a big crafty weekend getting projects completed for the rest of the month. One of my projects didn't quite go as planned in my head and I had these Brilliant Wings Mercury Glass Acetate and Vellum Butterflies left so I paired them with Hydrangea Hill Paper in a recent VIDEO. I stamped the sentiment from the matching Hydrangea Haven stamp set and punched using the Story Label Punch. and finished the card with some Pastel Pearls. I am having an absolute blast with this amazing suite - I used some sponging on the flower section and then used the die cut cuts out those pretty little flowers so it has texture and amazingness!! I used my blends to colour the leaves in smoky slate - even though I used the lighter blends it was too much for the card - so I used the colour lifer to really bring that colour right back and it left this wonderful outline and I love the colouring. The Hydrangea Hill suite can definitely play to the olde worlde or be jazzed up for more modern cards. I tend to be a bit more vintage so I've gone with the soft dainty look with these cards. I started off with folded card bases of Rococo Rose and Balmy Blue (I tend to use the USA card size measuring 5 1/2 x 4 1/4").
