Luther V. Brashear- Luther was the son of John W. Brashear and Elmira "Ella" Lynes. Luther's father was a steamboat owner in the late 1800's. Luther and his brother, Otho, both went into the riverboat business. Luther eventually became a pilot.He was married to Grace. Luther died of kidney and heart disease, complicated by other medical conditions. He died at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 65 years, 3 months and 24 days. He was buried on 02 Dec 1927 and was survived by his wife, Grace.
