(Though this 1/8” masking tape would burn out, it’s really bad for the electric kiln.) So, I typically spend a few days mapping out and applying the masked designs on bisqueware, then another couple of days glazing and removing the tape before firing the final glaze fire. 🔥 #ceramics #pottery…

I used to think it couldn’t be too difficult until I helped him last year for the pottery sale at our studio. He was having a hard time getting everything done in time so I offered to help him remove tape. I quickly realized that it is tricky to get the tape to come off without chipping the glaze. He definitely has a technique that keeps his lines clean."
